The Palace of Versailles presents the exhibition "Versailles Nuit" produced by the photographer Patrick Hourcade. A selection of 25 photos is to be discovered at the Petit Trianon and allows you to take a new look at the palace and its domain.
For three years, Patrick Hourcade traveled the estate of Versailles to take night shots. This exhibition presents a selection of twenty-five photographs and allows the public to discover the Palace and its gardens as they have never seen them.
Patrick Hourcade unveils a photographic project that is both sober and surreal in which the mystery and nostalgia for the night come face to face with the spectacular of the estate of Versailles. He plays on the light, textures and colors of the estate to sculpt architectures and perspectives.
With this exhibition Patrick Hourcade celebrates the Palace of Versailles by night: "Versailles, Versailles, some dream of it, others wonder, Versailles never sleeps" he wrote.
This presentation is based on the photographer's intimate relationship with the Palace after he worked there as a scenographer for the exhibitions.
