Histoire de Lire, the Versailles History Book Fair, invites you to its new edition on Saturday 22th and Sunday 23th November 2025.

From 2pm to 6:30pm, come and meet the many authors present and participate in the highlights

This not-to-be-missed event for lovers of history books (historical novels, comic strips, children's books) is once again taking place at several venues, with a host of guests. Schoolchildren are welcome on Fridays, with the help of the town's libraries.
Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Lorànt Deutsch, Adélaïde de Clermont-Tonnerre, Alexandra Lapierre, Timothée de Fombelle, Guy Delisle, the authors of the new Blake and Mortimer... More than 200 authors will be honoured at this unmissable event for history enthusiasts.

General information

Nearly 10,000 books have been ordered. These books are being sold by the Versailles Booksellers Economic Interest Group. To avoid any risk of fraud and out of consideration for the booksellers and authors present, the Festival kindly requests that you refrain from bringing your own books.

Openings

From Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 November 2025 between 2 pm and 6.30 pm.
The last entry to the Festival will be 30 minutes before the exhibition closes.

Fares

Full price: from 2 € (For those over 18:
Preferential rate for tickets purchased online:
– Day ticket: €2
– Weekend ticket: €3

Full price for tickets purchased on site: €3 per day).

Free entry for children under 18.

These tickets grant access to all festival venues, signing areas, and meet-and-greets. However, it is advisable to arrive early in order to attend the conferences.
