Conference by Georges Papazoff

Painter, engraver, ceramist and writer, Maurice de Vlaminck (1876-1958) is a major figure in 20th century art.

This brilliant jack-of-all-trades travels through the artistic currents (impressionism, fauvism, cubism...) while invoking the various illustrious figures who have inspired his compositions (Van Gogh, Cézanne...).

Internationally recognized, notably with the retrospective exhibition devoted to him in 2012 at the Musée d'Orsay.

Maurice de Vlaminck is strongly linked to the region: after spending his childhood in Le Vésinet, living with André Derain in Chatou and living in Bougival in 1913, he painted views of the town which will go down in history, thus testifying to the aura of the town for artists.
