3rd Georges Bizet Festival – Cante Flamenco – Jesús Méndez & Pepe del Morao
From the ramparts of Seville to the salons of Pauline Viardot in Bougival, the 3rd Georges Bizet Festival celebrates the 150th anniversary of the creation of Carmen as part of the European Heritage Days. An invitation to the roots of Andalusian traditions.
It is this capacity to recreate the expression of Gypsy culture that is at stake both in the opera Carmen and in the performance of Jesús Méndez. Recognised as one of the leading voices of flamenco in Jerez, he shares the stage with performer Rocio Molina and in prestigious productions by Carlos Saura and Andrés Marín. He will sing accompanied by flamenco guitar in front of the Viardot villa, opposite the Tourguéniev Dacha-Museum, in a 300-seat venue.
Additional Information:
- Category A tickets guarantee access to the concert in the salons of the Villa Viardot in case of rain, and provide reserved seating in the front rows of the outdoor proscenium.
- Category B tickets are unreserved and will be refunded in case of rain.
