Exhibition of recent paintings by James Mackeown, an Irish artist. The intimacy of everyday life is sublimated in his works with a palette of soft colors combined with sensitivity.

Born in 1961, James Mackeown is an Irish artist living in France. Through his art, he conveys the sublime in the intimacy of everyday and private life. The apparent improvisation in his works is in fact the result of extreme and refined elaboration. The color palette is meticulously constructed with soft gradations combined with a touch of sensitivity. As such, MacKeown identifies himself as a “painter of intimacy.”
