Bibliothèque Bailly - Exposition Sur la Route de Jules Verne
For this 20th edition of the Sur la Route festival, we invite you to explore or rediscover the extraordinary legacy of Jules Verne.
Jules Verne (1828–1905), a pioneer of science fiction and a major figure of pop culture, was a visionary dreamer. His Extraordinary Voyages overflow with inventions and adventures that continue to inspire writers, artists, inventors, and scientists even 120 years after his death.
For its 20th edition, the Sur la Route festival invites you to immerse yourself in this fascinating universe through the works of contemporary artists: François Delarozière and his monumental machines, Didier Graffet with his retro-futuristic style (on loan from the Daniel Maghen gallery), Pierre Thibault and his aerial paper creations, Franck Piantoni and his extraordinary vehicles, Alex Alice with The Castle of the Stars, and François Schuiten with The Return of Captain Nemo.
All of them extend Jules Verne’s visionary momentum and take you on a journey where imagination knows no boundaries.
